The most common risks of Restylane® are bruising and swelling. Other possible side effects include redness, soreness, itching and infection. Most adverse events with Restylane® resolve over a 2-7 day time period, some may take longer to resolve. Patients with a history of cold sores will need to be pretreated before Restylane® with an anti-viral medication for prevention.
Before yoou have a Restylane® treatment, Aspirin, Vitamin E supplements, Ibuprofen or St. John’s Wort should be avoided for few days prior to the procedure to avoid bruising. We recommend that you don’t have Restylane® done for at least 2 weeks before a big event. A follow up visit will be arranged in 1-2 weeks after the Restylane® procedure to determine if any touch ups are necessary.
Restylane® offers Restylane® Rewards to allow you can earn up to $475.00.
